HOW IT WORKS

What it checks, and how to read the result.

WHAT IT CHECKS

  • On the page you enter, as your server sends it: images without alt text, a missing page language, buttons and links with no accessible name, form fields without a label, the heading structure, and a viewport that blocks pinch-zoom.
  • Six questions on what no scanner can see: keyboard use, text alternatives, contrast, testing with assistive technology, documents and email, and your accessibility statement and support.

HOW TO USE IT

  1. 1Enter a key page: your homepage, or better, sign-up or checkout. You can also skip the URL and answer the questions only.
  2. 2Answer the six questions honestly. “Not sure” is a useful answer: the report treats it as “not tested”.
  3. 3Read the summary and the prioritised list, and share the score card if you like. Your findings are never shared.

READING THE RESULT

  • The score (out of 100) comes from your answers: at risk, getting there, or in good shape.
  • Scan findings are marked as a barrier, something to check, or a pass. You see at most five, worst first.
  • The summary is written by AI from your answers and the findings only. It is guidance, not a legal conformance statement.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

  • It reads one page, as the server sends it. Content added later by JavaScript, as in most single-page apps, isn't seen.
  • It doesn't test contrast, keyboard focus or how a screen reader behaves. Those need a real browser and a person.
  • Automated checks catch roughly a third of real barriers. Five scans a day per visitor.
